It’s the most wonderful time of the year and things are getting pretty holly jolly around Abilene. This year the Flying Bison have been getting in the spirit by joining some Christmas Festivities in Abilene that exemplify the holiday season.

Parade of Lights, December 2nd 2025
The annual Parade of Lights is a beloved Abilene tradition that draws almost 20,000 people every year. This year, thanks to the efforts of our incredible booster club, the Flying Bison were able to join in one of the community’s favorite Christmas events of the year.
Riding on the float was some of the front office staff, the Flying Bison Booster Club, and the big man himself, BOMBER. It was so much fun to see the Flying Faithful around this wonderful time of the year.

Christmas Lane, December 5th to December 28th 2025
Christmas Lane is the longest running holiday tradition in Abilene, and celebrates its 36th year this season. This annual event features over 120 outdoor holiday displays and is held at the Abilene State Supported Living Center (AbSSLC); Donations, sponsorships, and purchases at Christmas Lane go to the Abilene Volunteer Services Council (the only non-profit for AbSSLC). These funds help improve the quality of life for the people who live at the Abilene State Supported Living Center.
Entry to Christmas Lane is free. Visit the Abilene Volunteer Services Council for more information, including the schedule. The Flying Bison are excited to take part in the fun for the first time, and look forward to making this a tradition for our organization.

December Warehouse Sale + Open House, December 13th 2025
For the Bison, Christmas festivities in Abilene wouldn’t be complete without an opportunity to see the Flying Faithful. Saturday, December 13th we’re inviting the community to come hang with us at AFB HQ and:
