The Flying Bison have announced the date for the Bison Bash, an annual celebration of all things Bison baseball. For the third year in a row, fans and friends of the Flying Bison will gather at the DoubleTree to welcome the start of a new season.
The 2026 Bison Bash will be *held on Saturday, February 28, at the DoubleTree located at 500 Cypress St., Abilene, TX 79601. Doors open at 2 p.m., giving guests time to enjoy games, a DIY craft station, and other fun activities. A presentation will begin at 3 p.m. and will highlight exciting plans for the 2026 season, including a uniform reveal for both the Flying Bison and their alternate identity, the Abilene Prairie Dogs.
In addition to the presentation, attendees can enjoy free food, browse new merchandise, bid in the silent auction, and take photos with the team’s mascot, Bomber. The first 250 fans through the doors will receive an exclusive, brand-new piece of Bison merchandise. The Bison Bash is free to attend, and all current and future fans of the Flying Bison are encouraged to join the celebration.
Cat Duguay, Vice President of the Flying Bison, shared her thoughts on the third annual Bison Bash:
“The Bison Bash is the first Flying Bison event of the new year, and it’s a great way to get fans excited for the upcoming season. This is the only time we can get so many of the Flying Faithful together between seasons, and we love the opportunity to check in with fans and celebrate baseball in Abilene.
Each year, the Bison Bash gets bigger as the organization and fandom continue to grow. We’re proud and excited to host the Bison Bash for the third year in a row and look forward to many more.”
